A Market Garden for Flowers

Our vision for Wild Earth Flower Farm is inspired by European market gardens: small-scale farms that rely on intensive planting and gardening techniques.

Unlike conventional farming, market gardens can be tended to by one or two people with just hand tools, meaning each and every plant is grown and harvested with the utmost care.

Intensive planting techniques make the most of our small square footage, with tight plant spacing and careful seasonal planning to ensure no space is wasted.

What we grow

We believe that flowers should provide a full sensory experience, so we grow flowers and foliage that offer gorgeous scent, vibrant color, and interesting texture.

In our garden beds you’ll find heirloom favorites as well as specialty varieties unlike anything sold at the grocery store.

How we grow

Our approach to farming is heavily based on the work of Charles Dowding, who pioneered modern ‘No Dig’ gardening and organic soil management practices.

This method of growing mimics what happens in nature. By leaving the soil undisturbed (i.e. not tilling) and adding organic matter – like compost – on the surface, soil life is able to thrive and naturally aid drainage and aeration.

It’s our way to balance growing an abundance of flowers and caring for the earth.

How we harvest

Timing is everything, and we mindfully harvest each and every stem.

We harvest our flowers no more than 36 hours before we sell them, which means our customers are rewarded with an extraordinary vase life.
